Dr Braam Brink is a General Surgeon practising at Mediclinic Constantiaberg in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town since 2011. He also consults at Rondebosch Medical Centre and helps out with after hour calls at Kingsbury Hospital and Vincent Pallotti Hospital.

As General Surgeon he manages a variety of surgical conditions including: thyroid, breast and gastrointestinal conditions. He is skilled in both diagnostic and interventional endoscopic procedures (Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy). He is also highly proficient in the advanced technique of laparoscopic abdominal surgery (keyhole surgery).

He was educated at Paul Roos Gymnasium in Stellenbosch. He obtained his Undergraduate Degree in Medicine from the University of Stellenbosch in 1999. He did his internship at Helderberg Hospital in Somerset West. He completed his community service year in the surgical department of Victoria Hospital in Wynberg. After this he stayed on as medical officer in surgery for another four years.

He then moved on to train as a Specialist in Surgery at The University of Cape Town from 2005 to 2009 and became a fellow in surgery at the College of Medicine South Africa in 2009. He was awarded a Masters degree in Surgery from UCT in 2010. In 2009 he moved back to Victoria Hospital and was appointed as Head of the Department Surgery. In 2011 he started a part time private practice at Mediclinic Constantiaberg and in 2014 left the state sector to concentrate on full time private practice.

Dr Braam Brink is a highly experienced surgeon with exceptional people skills and ability. He is highly professional and goes to extreme lengths to ensure that his patients are well cared for and experience their stay in hospital as pleasant and pain free as possible. Braam is married to Joe-Nell and they have two children.
